- Here are some requirements for USA amateur boxing.

- Physical examination: Before competing, all boxers must receive a pre-fight physical examination from a ringside physician. The physician will certify whether the boxer is physically fit to compete. If the boxer is not certified as fit, they will not be allowed to compete and will be placed on the National suspension list.
- Weight categories: There are different weight categories for different types of boxers:
- Elite and Senior Men and Youth Boxers (Boys): 10 weight categories
- Elite Women and Youth Boxers (Girls): 10 weight categories
- Elite Women for the Olympic Games: 3 weight categories
- National Championships: To advance to the second stage of Team Selection for 2025, athletes must compete at the 2024 Elite National Championships in projected Olympic weight divisions.
- Olympic Team Trials: Boxers who qualify for a Wild Card selection must confirm their participation in the 2024 Olympic Trials by November 4, 2023. .
